The Nature of Handloom
Every Mekhela Chador, Gamosa, and silk piece crafted in Morigaon is born from human hands, not machines. Because of this authentic process, slight irregularities in the weave, texture, or natural dyes are not defects—they are the beautiful signatures of the artisans who made them. We ask that you embrace these unique characteristics. However, if your piece arrives damaged or falls short of your expectations, we are here to make it right.
Conditions for Return
To ensure the integrity of our textiles and fairness to our artisans, we accept returns and exchanges under the following conditions:
- Timeframe: Requests must be initiated within 7 days of receiving your delivery.
- Pristine Condition: Items must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and retaining their original folds.
- Original Packaging: All tags, labels, and packaging must be fully intact and attached to the garment.
The Exchange Process
If you need to return an item, we have kept the process simple and transparent to ensure your peace of mind.
Refunds & Logistics
- Quality Check: Once the returned item reaches our facility, it will undergo a standard quality inspection.
- Processing Time: Approved refunds will be processed to your original method of payment within 5-7 business days.
- Shipping Costs: Please note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. In the rare event of a defective or incorrect item being delivered, Ughaa will cover the return shipping charges.
